Mom and Missy's visit

My mom and Missy came to visit us this past weekend from Utah. I don't think it was much of a vacation for them, though, since Dallin was tough to keep up with. He wore the three of us out! It sure was nice to not be the one chasing him around for a few days (he outruns me now anyways; although I do have a pretty fast waddle). We kept busy hanging out at the park, reading the books they brought Dallin, eating, shopping, and playing baseball (Dallin was a bit of a show-off). We had a great time- thanks for coming, Missy and "drandma"!

Stroller question

As we are approaching the due date of our second (7 weeks!), Michael and I have been looking at double strollers. They all seem so bulky; but I guess that is the nature of a double stroller. Does anyone have any recommendations; side-by-side/front-back? A certain brand? What did you guys use and did you like it?

Here is a glimpse into my glamorous life. I rarely use a purse, so below is a picture of my "tote" (aka: diaper bag). In my old age I have found it is just much easier, not to mention much more stylish than carrying around a louis vuitton handbag, to sling this on my back and go about my day. Here is the list: wallet, phone, ear piece, keys, chapstick/lipstick, pens, receipts, cereal bar, cloth (dare I leave the house without Dallin's "blankie"?), hand sanitizer, gum, sunglasses, diapers, wipes, tissues, epi pen and benadryl (Dallin is allergic to peanuts). Sunday catch

Dallin can't get enough of his baseball, and Michael has no problem giving in to a Sunday catch.

Baseball...game...baseball...game!

Dallin would not stop saying "baseball...game...baseball...game" on Saturday. So we walked down the street to the ballpark and had some big league fun in the sun! (btw: pitchers/catchers report this week)

Sunday cookies

Michael and I decided to make cookies this afternoon. So, how hard can cookies be? Basic chocolate chip! After 10 min. of baking we opened the oven and were completely puzzled at how they turned out. We went back to the recipe on allrecipes.com and studied it wondering what we could have done wrong. I thought it was the butter I used; Michael thought he mixed it too long. Strange. Perplexed, we went back into the kitchen to scrape off the substance burned into the pan (we kind of made caramel on accident). About 5 minutes later I noticed something on the counter. I started laughing so hard I almost. . . well, you know. Sitting on the counter in a separate bowl was the sifted mixture of flour, baking powder and baking soda. yep- we forgot to add it into the blended mixture of liquids. We felt so awesome. We joked that we should give the allrecipes.com author a bad review because it was not SPELLED out in the recipe that we should COMBINE all ingredients before baking.

Daddy's helper

This was taken last Saturday while Michael and I were organizing the garage. Turns out Dallin is quite the little helper; he loved taping the labels on boxes. And he thought they tasted yummy, too.
