Farm photos

We have this great farm grill down the road. The grounds are beautiful! We went there last night for dinner and Missy took some pictures for us.

Probably the cutest picture I have ever seen in my entire life. I'm ready to start taking bids from the grandmothers for a copy of this.
"Taylor's heavy!"
We are not above bribing Dallin with a sucker to sit still and take pictures.
Hello, blue eyes!

Pioneer Day Parade

Our stake had a pioneer day parade this past Saturday. Dallin wants to make sure Chip is with him at all times so Missy hooked a small wagon to the back of his 4-wheeler for Chip to ride in. We were going to put Taylor in there but he wouldn't fit. :) How did we have a parade outside in the middle of the summer in Phoenix, you ask? It began at 7am and ended 10 minutes later.

What NOT to say to a toddler

Dallin loves riding in our new bike trailer (seriously the one time where he is content just sitting) and asked the other day if we could go biking. I said that we could but that we needed to wait until Taylor woke up from his nap. Within seconds Dallin yells from inside Taylor's room, "Taylor's awake!!!".

Stake fair

Jim and Michael prepping for a hand stand contest.

I am so glad we got a picture of this pose. Sometimes I stand with my hands on my back like this (mostly when I was pregnant with Taylor) and Dallin has picked up on it. We think it is the cutest thing.

Jim and Missy ruled the pie eating contest

Scera pool

We hit the pool a few days ago and Dallin had the time of his life. I had no idea he was such a water baby! We spent 4 1/2 hours there and he was still upset when we had to leave.

Canyon bike ride

If you are wondering how such amazing action shots were taken, just imagine Jim (pulling a bike trailor with Megan and Ryan) riding in the front of the pack holding up a camera over his shoulder and just snapping away at anyone behind him. I wish I had a picture of that- it was so funny.

Cute boys

Dallin is now at the point where he needs bandaids for everything. Just before I took Dallin to bed, he LIGHTLY bumped his cheek on something. He wasn't pacified until I got him a bandaid and put it on his cheek. He wore it all night and most of the following day and whenever someone saw his bandadged face, they would gasp and ask, "what happened?" It was so funny. I can't believe it didn't bother him to have it on his face.

Taylor really has the sweetest disposition. I am seriously amazed at how happy this little guy is, especially for his age (3 months). You just smile at him and his face lights up. Although Dallin is a happy, good-natured boy now, Michael and I don't remember him smiling or laughing this early (it could also be that I'm not such a stress case this time around and am enjoying these early months a little more). He has the sweetest smile and you can even get an occasional giggle out of him by playing "boo" (Dallin's favorite game). He is also very alert and aware of his surroundings; he loves just loves staring at people (especially Michael and Dallin). Now we need to just get him out of the habit of getting up five times a night. . .

Fourth of July

These pictures are from both the children's parade (a week before the Fourth) and the Provo Fourth of July parade. Dallin loves parades and it was more exciting watching his reaction to the floats, bands, and firetrucks than the actual parade itself. I guess that's why as parents you do crazy things like get up at 4:45am in the hopes of securing front row seats to watch the parade (thanks Michael and Chan!).
