Excellent novel!!! I couldn't put it down. The story takes you through 30 years of life in Afghanistan as experienced by two women, Mariam and Laila. Reading about the daily lives of women in Afghanistan was eye opening and made me appreciate how great we have it here. The story is stirring and will give you an indepth picture of life in Afghanistan before, during and after the Taliban regime. Thanks for the recommendation, Nollie!
